Welcome to Week 5

Kia Ora Whanau,

We hope you have had a great weekend! whether you've been getting out on an adventure with the family, taking time to relax, or are rushed off your feet, brace yourself for another busy week ahead! Unfortunately, we are now in L2 again, please see the procedures below.

Last week, the students had a fantastic time swimming with Henk, learning a drumming sequence, getting their green ticks on Maths Whizz, and becoming more familiar with classroom routines. It was awesome to see our Year 6 Leaders recognised during the Commissioning Ceremony, which I’m sure was inspiring to our Year 4’s.

This week: - Swimming every day. Thank you for ensuring your children have their togs, towels, and goggles. - Library is on Tuesday (just while swimming is on). - The School Gala is postponed until further notice. Thank you for the generous contributions you have made towards it so far.
Friendly Reminders: - Chromebooks need to come to school charged. As we are a BYOD school, many of our learning activities now require devices. - Each child needs a school hat. They can be purchase from the uniform shop for $13. - Only children of teachers, or PTA members that are setting up the Gala, are able to be at school between the 3pm school bell and the beginning of the Gala on Thursday. Often students are excited and want to come early, but for safety reasons, they must come at 4pm or later.

I hope you have a restful Sunday night and are looking forward to an exciting week ahead.

Ka kite anō,

Sophie Bowie sophiebowie@stmarysrotorua.school.nz
