Kia Ora Whanau, We hope you have had a great weekend! whether you've been getting out on an adventure with the family, taking time to relax, or are rushed off your feet, brace yourself for another busy week ahead! Unfortunately, we are now in L2 again, please see the procedures below. Last week, the students had a fantastic time swimming with Henk, learning a drumming sequence, getting their green ticks on Maths Whizz, and becoming more familiar with classroom routines. It was awesome to see our Year 6 Leaders recognised during the Commissioning Ceremony, which I’m sure was inspiring to our Year 4’s. Level 2 procedures - Pedestrian gates unlocked at 8.15am. Parents are encouraged to drop off students at gates. If adults come on-site they will be photographed for contact and movement register. - Gates will be unlocked at 8:30am and then again at 2:45pm. - Parents coming onsite will be photographed for contact and movement register - Any parents coming to school outside these hours

Kia ora koutou,  I hope you have had a lovely long weekend and are excited for the school year to begin.  Firstly, thank you for meeting with me last week. I loved putting faces to the names of my students and getting an insight into the special people they are. I hope it has put some nerves at ease, especially for those children (and parents), curious about a teacher they hadn't met before.   Hello! My name is Sophie, also known as Miss Bowie. I am very excited to be embarking on a new adventure at St Marys this year, after teaching for 4 years at Kawaha-Point School. My passions include playing netball, exploring new places, spending time with my friends and whānau, eating lots of delicious food, and of course, teaching. I am currently training for a half-marathon, which I will be running with Miss Lovegrove (If I can keep up with her long legs!). Throughout my early teaching years, I have had many “wow moments” with my students, which are memories I will treasure forever. I cannot wait to create more precious memories this year in rooms 14 and 15.  Kia Ora Tatou! I’m Tai, but in the class setting I am known as Mrs YTT, mama, and yes, sometimes nana. Teaching makes me feel like a rock star (which is probably what I want to be when I grow up). Every day, I have children run up to me, giving me hugs, calling my name over and over again as they hear me rocking with our cla
