Tena koutou, welcome to our second to last week of Term 3! Last week had a strong focus on celebrating Māori Language week. It was fantastic listening to the tamariki giving new te reo a go! For Golden Time, we made catapults from skewers, rubber bands, clay and a plastic spoon. There was a lot of trial and error, but most students managed to make a successful catapult.  As we are still at Level 2 we are still encouraging that our kids sanitise before they come into class. Please ensure they bring in a drink bottle as water fountains are still out of bounds. Thank you very much for your support in this. Last Friday, some kids came with some fabulous wigs to wear for the day. The school managed to fundraise $580 to go towards the Cancer Society. What a fabulous effort. What's happening this week: Tuesday: Library Friday: Golden Time It is so lovely to see the sun out today. Let's cross our fingers that this weather continues for the rest of the week. Have an awesome week everyo

Good morning to everyone on another lovely sunny day. Happy Fathers Day to all our dads, we hope you have a special day in your bubble. It's hard to believe that almost three weeks ago we went into lockdown.  A big thank you to all of our families for the support you are giving your children with their Home Learning Programmes during this time.  It has been a big learning curve for many of us and certainly a time of building resilience.  I feel so blessed to work in such a supportive and caring community. The Prime Minister announces late Monday afternoon what the next plan is.  Fingers crossed we move to Level 2 soon. This week we will continue with the Home Learning online. We have our daily meetings on Google Meet at 10am. The children and us teachers have been enjoying connecting and doing some fun activities. We hope you have had no problems accessing the learning on the Middle School Kahikatea site. Remember that all the information regarding home learning can be found on
