Welcome to Term 2

Kia ora Whānau

Welcome back to the school term! I trust you all had a wonderful break and are (almost) ready to delve into the busyness that Term 2 brings.

I am excited to have your children back in Room 15 so that we can get underway with new learning. I am also looking forward to meeting with you all, on either Tuesday and Wednesday, to talk about your child's learning goals. There is more information about this below.

Coming up this week:

- Children's World Day of prayer liturgy on Thursday. See more information below.
- Mini Marathon is on Friday.
- Library is on Tuesday.
- Goal Setting Conferences with the parents on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please make an appointment for one of these nights. See more information below.

A message from Mrs. Cato:

Three-Way Goal Setting Conferences

In the first week of term, we will have Three-Way Goal Setting Conferences for Parent/Student/Teacher.

Students and their parent(s) need to attend a 10-minute appointment on one of these two days.

Appointments available

Tuesday 4 May 3.10pm - 6pm

Wednesday 5 May 3.10pm - 6pm

How to make a booking

Bookings are now open. How do parents make a booking for their child's Three-Way Conference?

Via the following link and enter the code 63c8b

Via the links button on our School App - select School Interviews - enter the code 63c8b

Please note: If you are late for your appointment you might be asked to rebook for another time. This is because the class teacher needs to consider the bookings made by other families and keep to the times they have booked for. We look forward to seeing you and your child at the conference.

Friendly Reminders:

- Chromebooks need to come to school charged. As we are a BYOD school, many of our learning activities now require devices. Headphones are essential, please. If your child's Chromebook is not working, I recommend contacting Paul (see contact details below).
- Please LABEL your children's clothing, we have quite a few issues with shorts/dresses ending up on the wrong body.
- If you need headphones still, Kmart, The Warehouse, or school have them ranging in price from $8
-Please collect bread tags and yummy stickers, if you need a chart please have your child come and see Mrs. Dinniss.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday and a great first week back,

Sophie Bowie
