Welcome to Week 9 Term 3

Tena koutou, welcome to our second to last week of Term 3!

Last week had a strong focus on celebrating Māori Language week. It was fantastic listening to the tamariki giving new te reo a go!
For Golden Time, we made catapults from skewers, rubber bands, clay and a plastic spoon. There was a lot of trial and error, but most students managed to make a successful catapult.

As we are still at Level 2 we are still encouraging that our kids sanitise before they come into class. Please ensure they bring in a drink bottle as water fountains are still out of bounds. Thank you very much for your support in this.

Last Friday, some kids came with some fabulous wigs to wear for the day. The school managed to fundraise $580 to go towards the Cancer Society. What a fabulous effort.

What's happening this week:

Tuesday: Library

Friday: Golden Time

It is so lovely to see the sun out today. Let's cross our fingers that this weather continues for the rest of the week. Have an awesome week everyone.

Nga mihi,
Sophie Bowie and the Kahikatea Team.
