Aloha parents and whānau, welcome to week 5! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend and managed to find time to relax with your family. We are over halfway through the term and the busyness is well and truly upon us. We had a fantastic day at Athletics on Monday. The kids all did so well and it was awesome to have some parent helpers as well. A huge congratulations to those students who competed in the gymnastics competition, I know you have been practising hard all year.  Just a friendly reminder that all students need to bring their  hats  to school, we know how harsh our New Zealand sun is. Also, please continue checking that your child is bringing their  device to school fully charged . We will be doing some assessments this week, which students will require their Chromebooks for.  With Delta cases now in Rotorua, sanitising and staying home if unwell is more important than ever. Please do not send your child to school if they are sick.  We have s...

We are very lucky to learn about terrariums. Terrariums are miniature gardens, housed inside small – and usually sealable – containers like bottles and jars. As fully functioning (albeit tiny) plant ecosystems, they’re mostly self-sustaining, with the plants watering themselves through transpiration and condensation. Science! Our request is for any clear plastic or glass jars at home that you are ...

Welcome back to Term 4 all parents, caregivers and children.  We hope that children had a refreshing break and you are enjoying the nice Spring weather (on most days).  Tena koutou, welcome to our second to last week of Term 3! Last week had a strong focus on celebrating Māori Language week. It was fantastic listening to the tamariki giving new te reo a go! For Golden Time, we made catapults from skewers, rubber bands, clay and a plastic spoon. There was a lot of trial and error, but most students managed to make a successful catapult.  As we are still at Level 2 we are still encouraging that our kids sanitise before they come into class. Please ensure they bring in a drink bottle as water fountains are still out of bounds. Thank you very much for your support in this. Last Friday, some kids came with some fabulous wigs to wear for the day. The school managed to fundraise $580 to go towards the Cancer Society. What a fabulous effort. What's happening this week: Tuesday: Library Friday: Golden Time It is so lovely to see the sun out today. Let's cross our fingers that this weather continues for the rest of the week.
